Comics may have been terrible, but they were an indicator of success.
The reboot didn't have anything like that at all.
@Sasslightertm you're absolutely right, this is literally what I was talking about earlier.
4 years have passed and we know almost nothing about Vera-Vaughn's family (and about Kaela's family, too). But we know an inexcusable lot about Abigael the Abhorrent, although why would we need it?
Showrunners and writers got their priorities wrong and eventually the show went downhill.
@CarverSindile there is fanfiction, but there are very few of them and most of them are the same nonsense as the show itself.
Although fans can write what they want, but no one will allow a writer to do this after the finale ends, since this is no longer their job and the rights do not belong to them.
In addition, the writers hypocritically say that they did not want to repeat "blood makes you the chosen one", but in fact it was chance and blood (cell donation) that made Kaela the chosen one.
AND they also claim that she could potentially become a demon-witch and they allegedly came up with this plot before Macy left.. I hope I don't have to explain to all of you that this is a lie, right? XD Everyone here knows this is bullshit.
@CarverSindile I understood you. Yes, my words apply to all shows. But it will depend on new buyers. Who pays the piper, calls the tune.
@CarverSindile no one will prolong a failed project and resurrect it with a new management.
Although of course re-screenings of the already existing 4 seasons may occur on other platforms. It's a matter of money.
As for the CW itself, there is a possibility that it will cease to exist under this name in the next few years when the sale and final replacement of personnel are completed.
@CarverSindile, yep. A new management came and they didn't like that the CW was running at a loss.
And this is the right position by the way. David Zaslav is the hero we deserves. =)
And how does that refute what I said @Silver Infinite 23 ? The reboot won't get any comics because it's not profitable for the publisher. For several years, comics with popular brands have been making ends meet. So why would they spend money to produce this for a series with pathetic ratings? =)
In addition, it is extremely funny to hear about 'money-hungry' from people who originally created the reboot, took advantage of the popularity of the original series. Moreover, they were offered a bunch of times to change the name of their show.
It looks like Joey is starting to go crazy in his tweets. It looks like the death throes of a chicken with a severed head.
I wasn't rude. I didn't even use a raised tone. I'm sorry you felt that way, @Silver Infinite 23.
As for irritation, I don't feel it at all. On the contrary, I am completely cathartic that this show is finally over. =)
It was a big disappointment that I couldn't let go of, but now that we are nearing the final, this nightmare is over for me and I can finally stop thinking about it.
Although maybe sometimes I'll review the first season to laugh and remember the fun times when Kruger, Shapiro, Lieber and Falco weren't at the helm.
Oh, @Silver Infinite 23, just stop justifying their bad writing already, okay?)
And who cares what could have been, after the first season we gave them enough time to do their job better, but they only ruined the show.
Now the show is canceled, just let it go and forget.
Apart from the above, Niko has no reason to hide from Mel. Why this conspiracy?
Like I said, Falco made up some nonsense.
@Jordyou23 I'm sure people will forget about this show in two weeks at most after the finale, you just have to wait and see for yourself. It will sink into oblivion, simply because it has not caused a fuss for a long time. I see this trend of fans leaving every year. Moreover, even though there are people who are upset, most of them were not surprised at this outcome at all, and this already suggests that everyone somewhere deep inside understood that the reboot was not good enough to survive the cancelling period.
But again, I see that you, like some others, are going through the first stage (Denial), so our conversation does not make sense. You will be able to see the whole picture when you enter the acceptance stage (Acceptance).
I wish you good luck in this field (no kidding now, I myself went through this difficult period once when I found out about Macy's departure before it became official, so I understand how hard it can be).
It doesn't make sense at all. Mel kind of talked to Choochi on the phone and... no recognized Niko? XD
Joey is making up some nonsense again. I suspect that this person wants to lose his job for sure (although this is likely to happen anyway).
Nope. This will not happen, because the reboot was required only for Netflix to fill their cells. But no one will spend money to make merch for this show, which only a few will buy anyway. I mean, I once saw the internal figures of their sales of DVD discs and even they... It was so bad that they even had to raise the price of these disks in order to get at least some profit, but it was useless. XD
The most you can count on is that the writers on Twitter will share their meager ideas and sing about how 'wonderful' season 5 should have been and how many 'beautiful' things should have appeared there.
And considering that there will be no season 5, they can now talk and promise you any nonsense.
Jordyou23, sorry, but you are just doing useless activities.
But I can understand your stage of denial.
It doesn't matter anymore. In my eyes, this ridiculous circus should have been cancelled after the second season, when instead of focusing on the Charmed Ones, the new showrunners shifted the focus to Harry and the Canes.
Let's be honest, it's totally deserved.
@Silver Infinite 23 I understand you but officially, the date of Macy's death has not been set, and we do not know what month the Vera-Danso are experiencing in 2022. Therefore, formally, this is not yet a chronological error.
No irony, they really created this plot in the premiere of the second season where the demons became stronger and the witches weakened. They literally lost their active powers all over the world for some reason and it has never been explained. And even in the third season, that none of the witches except the family of the Charmed Ones and the ubiquitous Jamesons have ever gained active powers. This plot is a crazy hole as well as why the hell in 2x1 they couldn't destroy Jimmy with the Power of Three.
Kruger and Shapiro ruined everything with their presence. Although they left, their spirit remained in the person of Jeff Lieber. Very sad.
Well, what could I say? Кeep believing, since it's convenient for you.
