In "The Replacement", Maggie Vera used the Sumerian Shroud to stop Tessa Flores-Cohen from killing a possessed Galvin Burdette. The spell temporarily trapped her in the astral plane.
In "Careful What You Witch For", Mel Vera and Harry Greenwood use astral projection to enter the astral plane looking for the Sentinel. The Sentinel puts them through trial to test their worth. When they pass and return to the astral plane, the Sentinel gives them what they need: the cipher that will allow them to translate the Book of Elders.
