The Consequences Hex is a hex used to ensure a person pays the consequences for their actions.
History[]
In "Witch Perfect", Mel Vera froze time as a sexual predator was about to lace an unsuspecting woman's drink. Jada Shields then cast this spell to ensure that he would be caught for his crimes. The woman's glass then magically stuck to his hand, alerting her to his misdeed.
It was used by Mel in "Manic Pixie Nightmare" to ensure that a mortal named Zack admitted to his crimes against his classmates—without exposing the world of magic.
Incantation[]
- Justice now. Consequences now. It is so.
Trivia[]
- The Elders forbade witches from hexing humans, meaning this spell was not enforced by them.
- Mel referred to this hex as a "Sarcana Hex."
- In both cases, the spell was used against mortals. It's not entirely clear if it would work against a magical creature.
- It is assumed that the person on whom this hex is applied should be completely or almost completely immobilized at the time of reading. Also, the caster must come as close as possible to pronounce these words.
- In the original series, Paige Matthews also used a similar spell on a man, wanting to punish him for his sexual harassment. Although the spell was initially created for slightly different purposes and worked only on demons, Paige changed one word to have an effect on mortals as well. However, it should be noted that since Paige had cast this spell for personal gain, it backfired on her and caused her breasts to grow bigger so that she herself would be harassed by men. The spell was eventually reversed by Phoebe Halliwell.
