The Corruption Coins are magical coins given to some members of the magical community through middleman, Frank the leprechaun. Their original owner is the Tallyman and it is unknown why he gives them to others. The coins have an effect of turning other beings violent.
History[]
In "Not That Girl", Maggie and Jordan rescue a zamba zaraa that grows teeth and bites Jordan. While looking into the bag that kept the Zamba Zaara captive, Jordan finds the coin. Later that day, a woodland pixie named Annie Periwinkle goes through her Pixie Fledging Ceremony and unexpectedly transforms into a monstrous creature. Jordan then finds the same coin, that Annie placed in her box of offerings to the Goddess of Flight. The effects eventually wore off.
In "You Can't Go Home Again", Jordan and Harry look into the origin of the coins at the Blue Camellia and find out they came from a leprechaun named Frank. They go to question him, but when he refuses to answer their questions, Harry tricks him into believing he has drank a bottle of poisoned booze to scare him into confessing.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Evil Inducement: The coins can turn ordinarily docile, magical beings/creatures violent and monstrous.
Trivia[]
- It is not entirely clear how one of the zamba zaraas was able to make a deal with the Tallyman in order to later become aggressive. It is possible that they still have some kind of intelligence and the ability to communicate with highly organized beings to express their desires, though this seems unlikely due to their animal-like nature. It is also possible that the coin was obtained by the demons, and it affected the zamba zaraa because it was placed in the bag with the creature. However, this is contradicted by the fact that the Tallyman avoided demons as well as witches before meeting the Vera-Danso Charmed Ones.
- It is unknown how many of these coins there were and where they all went after the Tallyman's death.
