Charmed Wiki

The relationship between Charmed One and witch, Mel Vera and whitelighter-witch, Jada Shields.

Throughout the Series[]

In Out of Scythe, Mel and Jada's first meeting took place at the bar, where Jada looked Vera for a long time and later allowed herself a light flirtation that made Mel smile.

In Bug a Boo, the Charmed Ones chase Jada to an empty warehouse, but she successfully escapes their pursuit. Left with no choice, they decide to regroup, giving Jada the moment she needed to use the Scythe of Tartarus to release Fiona Callahan from imprisonment. Jada spent the next few days observing Mel's involvement with the Elders, particularly Charity Callahan. She then talked with Mel and told her she was a Whitelighter-Witch: a hybrid which the Elders deemed to be an abomination. The next time they meet, Mel was trying to stop a thug attacking a woman. The man was about to attack her when Jada killed him with electrokinesis.

In Jingle Hell, Jada tried to talk Mel into joining the coven. Mel agreed to join the Sarcana as a spy for the Elders.

In Keep Calm and Harry On, Jada kissed Mel for the first time, and Mel reciprocated. Unbeknownst to them, Mel's ex-girlfriend was watching from the side.

In Witch Perfect, Mel and Jada stake out a man at the Haunt. The man had been accused of sexual assault on multiple occasions, but always got released. Seeing he tried to drug a young woman, Mel froze the scene and Jada hexed him.

In Manic Pixie Nightmare, Mel and Jada are seen in bed.

In Touched by a Demon, Mel and Jada hunt down witch hunters who attacked Jada.

In Switches & Stones, Mel goes with Jada to find a magical stone that will supposedly restore Fiona to full health.

In Surrender, Mel went to Jada for help in saving Harry, whose powers had been forcibly removed by the Elders. Jada, however, refused and tried to persuade Mel to understand. Mel, however, could not accept her letting her friend die and left the Sarcana. By leaving the coven, the tattoo on her arm disappeared.

In The Replacement, Mel went to the Sarcana's lair and found the coven massacred. Jada survived and told her it was Fiona Callahan's work. To escape the witch's wrath, Jada skipped town. She asked Mel to come with her, but Mel refused, saying she needed to stay with her sisters and fight. Jada then warned her to beware of Fiona: she was one of the few living witches whose power could rival the Charmed Ones.
