The Flipside Spell is a spell that allows the user to enter and review another person or being's powerful memories. There is an entry on this spell in the Book of Elders.
History[]
In "Divine Secrets of the O.G. Sisterhood", Maggie Vera used the spell to review Daphne Periwinkle's most powerful memory. The spell created a hole in the floor of the Command Center, allowing her to climb down with a rope into Daphne's memory. While in there, she saw Inara appearing to Daphne in the form of her late sister, Annie, to convince her to join the Unseen. While initially invisible, Inara saw Maggie the moment she spoke and cut off her rope to keep her from escaping the memory. Maggie later came up with a way to borrow Daphne's power to grow wings long enough to fly through the hole and escape the memory.
Book of Elders Entry[]
The spell creates a hole in the ground that leads directly to the intended individual's memory. The caster will need a rope to climb in and out of the memory. For the spell to be effective, the caster will need something that belongs to the person.
Incantation[]
- Praeterita alii vide
- Translation
- See the past of others
Trivia[]
- Since Maggie was only reviewing Daphne's memory and the events had already occurred, it is unclear how Inara, in the form of Annie, was able to interact with Maggie, as she should have just been a figment of Daphne's memory.
