The Impersonation Spell is a spell that is used to make someone take the form of another. The entry of this spell is found in the Book of Elders.
Overview[]
The spell is written in the ancient dialect of the Elders. To make it work, a powder needs to be blown at the person intended to be impersonated, while chanting the incantation, and the target will become unconscious. Then, the target's hand needs to be placed on the hand depicted on entry from the Book of Elders. The next person to touch the hand on the page will then be transformed into the person.
It is unknown how long the effect of this spell lasts, but it definitely ends if the person who changed their appearance begins to die.

History[]
In "Someone's Going to Die", Macy Vaughn and Harry Greenwood caught and neutralized Nadia. While she was unconscious, they scanned her hand with a code and then erased her memories of the Faction with a potion. Later, Macy and Harry brought this code to Julian Shea. Putting his hand on the page of the Book of Elders, Julian turned into Nadia and was able to infiltrate the Fort Easton Power Site.
When Vivienne Laurent discovered Julian's impersonation, she partly petrified him, leaving him for dead. The impersonation spell reversed itself the moment he died.
Trivia[]
- The spell seemingly requires some form of powder to be blown at the target, which will then knock them unconscious similarly in effect to a sleeping spell. However, it could be that Macy simply used a sleeping potion to knock Nadia out in order to more easily achieve the impersonation, as Nadia likely would have put up a fight. If the spell were to be used on someone willing to be impersonated, there would be no reason for them to be made unconscious.
