- He is the grandson of Indian actor Sharad Talwalkar.
- According to Joey Falco on Twitter, Kapil blew the production crew away in auditions, but he had a prior commitment on a new NBC show Night Court, so they agreed in his contract that they'd be done with his character by the tenth episode of Season 4. This would provide the opportunity to emotionally push Kaela to the brink.
