The marbles created by a bowl in the Command Center are small, magical balls that create portals leading back to the Command Center when they are thrown. They are made from agate and black amber.
There is also a special, varied type of marble created for witches who went through "Witchness Protection", and were given in case they wanted to reactivate their powers. To successfully use these marbles, it must be thrown by the witch it was originally given to. If any other person uses it, they will be trapped inside of the marble until the lack of oxygen kills them. It's assumed that this is a "security feature" that deters unauthorized use of the marble, therefore protecting the existence of witches, magic, and the Command Center.[1]
Effects[]
- Portal Creation: The marbles are able to open a portal back to the Command Center when they are thrown.
- Containment: The marbles that are designed for specific witches have been enchanted to contain anyone who enters the portal if it has been opened by anyone but the witch the marble was given to. This was done as a security measure.

Trivia[]
- In "Unsafe Space", Mel Vera calls it an "amber marble" and, later in the same episode, Macy Vaughn says it's made from agate.
- The portal made from the Command Center has a blue color, while all of the portals made by the marbles are yellow. This is most likely a reference to the famous puzzle-platform video game named Portal.
- In "Hashing It Out", the Unseen are able to use a marble given to a witch in Witchness Protection by having one of the members ingest some of the witch's blood before using the marble, which overrode the security feature that traps unauthorized users in the marble.
- Despite this, it remains unclear how the rogue group learned of this security measure in the first place, as the Vera-Vaughn Charmed Ones and apparently even Ruby Malone did not know of this until they had used one of the Witchness Protection marbles for themselves in "Unsafe Space".
