I'll be taking over for TimeShade but just like Marcus, I'm here to help out however I can, just let me know. You can usually find me on Discord (my username is penguinstyles#9735), however, I'm happy to use whatever contact medium you prefer.
If you have any questions for me, please let me know. I'll try to respond to them as quickly as I can.
I’m contacting you, because we want to get off on the right foot the year and after all the feedback received at Community Connect, we want to know more about the current status of the communities. First step is to analyze the previous year, so we would like to hear from you about 2019. It’s so important for us to know what’s your opinion about the work that we did in 2019. It has been a year of a lot of changes and we would like to continue working in the right direction and find solutions to any problem detected by you in the last year.
We know that you could have questions about the UCP too, please feel free to ask me anything about it and I will share your concerns, comments and questions with the other Community Managers in order to obtain an answer as soon as possible.
Finally, also I would like to invite you to rate the last year in Fandom from 1 to 5, meaning 1 as "definitely not good" and 5 like "this has been a fantastic year!". It would be super helpful for our work.
BTW, if you haven’t joined us on Discord, feel free to do it, we plan to run some new projects there and use it as platform to communicate important things to TV/Movies communities, so you will be welcome to our server!
And like I said, let me know if you have any question. I will be happy to help you.
Hey there, hope all is well. It's been a great year around Fandom with lots of updates. Will like to leave you update once more before the year ends about an update on Featured Videos if you haven't read it yet. Basically, they will be replaced by The Loop, which are vertical specific mini-shows. These will also help promote wikis within the vertical unlike the pre-exisiting featured videos.
And if you'd like a recap of the year Fandom has had, feel free to read about it here!
Hey there, it's been a while since I checked in. Just letting you know about global taxonomy from a couple weeks ago if you haven't given it a read yet.
Basically, we're working to better personalize recommendations much like how Netflix does based on what you have watched. If you like to learn more, feel free to check out the blog or ask any questions.
If you read through this thread: https://charmed-reboot.fandom.com/wiki/Thread:7148 then after reading it, would you be interested in being part of it? I'm already an advisor on a few others, so I don't think I can take part on this wiki too. But ur doing such a great job here. I figured I'd pass the info to you. Do you know anyone else that just as active as you that might be interested? It doesn't even have to be narrowed down to just admins or mods, it could be users on here you think would be a great fit for the advisor role? I would suggest Original Authority as a good fit for the advisor role for this wiki. Let me know what you think.
Hi Badwitch16, just wondering what the policy on capitalisation on this community is? I've seen instances — mind you the majority of the wiki — where capitalisation is somewhat miss-used. For example, it seems common that mid-sentence the Elders are referred to as "The Elders" whilst the Charmed Ones are referred to as "The Charmed Ones". I'm only asking because there are also instances where they are referred to in the lowercase, so it is confusing to see both happening simultaneously.
It should be "the Elders" or "the Charmed Ones" unless it's the beginning of a sentence of course. I've been trying to correct the spelling and change it where I see it but I think some of the more frequent editors continue to do it though I'm not sure why.
Hey, I've gone ahead and fixed those capitalisation errors — should be all correct now. Whilst I was there, I've applied general fixes to formatting etc, shouldn't be noticeable visually, but is now correct in-editor. Let me know if there is anything else my bot can assist with! :)
Hey, I was using a larger monitor when I placed everything, but now I'm using a smaller one, I can see that Harry is hardly on the background at all. I'm not at my PC where the background is saved as of now, but when I am, I'll make some adjustments and involve Harry more :)
Oh, and I've noticed while editing, I think that your bot uncapitalized every "the" in front of things like "The Elders" and "The Charmed Ones." While this is okay if those titles are placed midsentence, but it has even affected those at the beginning of sentences/paragraphs.
Can you link some examples? Due to the nature of how varied the possibilities for "The Elders" or "The Charmed Ones" in the middle of sentences could be, I uncapitalised everything and then capitalised the following:
Beginning of sentences.
Following bullet points.
Following bullets that could be links.
I was pretty thorough with the regex, so it should have caught everything — if you have some examples (even if you've changed them back), can you let me know so I can see what went wrong.
I see, I'll run again and tweak the regex slightly; should catch those strays. I understand why it didn't capitalise "the Elders" article as it was my test article therefore wouldn't have been in the list, but it should've caught the rest.
We might could include it somewhat like Demonic Translation. Though, if it's simply just a language only known to Elders, I'm not sure that we really need an article or anything for that. Maybe we'll learn more about it in coming episodes.
