  • Walls of Steel
    • Used by Mel, Maggie and Josefina in order to stabilize Josefina's bag when Josefina's spell to trap Macy and Jordan inside was collapsing.

  • Stone Tablet: After reading from the tablet's translation, the barrier to the Tomb of Chaos blew open and released thousands of scorpions from the tomb.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first episode of the series originally titled not in English.
    • The title roughly translates to "I don't speak witchcraft".
  • When Macy and Harry accidentally activated a stone tablet, black scorpions were summoned that spread across the facade of Vera Manor. It is unknown whether the Tartarus Scorpions were summoned or whether they were other monsters very similar to them. It is also possible that this merely summoned ordinary scorpions.
  • Fenric the Vile was exiled for plotting against the Demon Overlord of his past, it wasn't explained whether it was Zagan the Great or who of his predecessors.

Answered Questions from Previous Episode(s)[]

  • How will Jordan break the family curse?
    • While trapped in the alternate dimension, Jordan balances the scales of justice by protecting Florence. Doing so, his curse is officially broken.

Unanswered Questions[]

  • What did the tablet unleash?
  • Will Josefina gain her witch powers?

References to the Original Charmed[]

  • Like the episode "The Good, the Bad and the Cursed", from the original series, this episode focuses on the oldest sister, and the youngest sister's respective love interest, navigating their way, while displaced in time.
    • Jordan and Macy's visit to the past is similar to when Leo became haunted by his past during his time in World War II. Jordan lost a friend he knew from the army while Leo lost his childhood best friends.
    • It is also similar to when Paige became one with her high school self and nobody could see Leo as her guide in the episode "A Paige from the Past".
  • Josefina refers to the Book of Shadows as "the family grimoire." In the original series, grimoires were seen as an evil counterpart to a Book of Shadows, and as such belonged to evil magical beings, such as the evil witch Tuatha and the morally ambiguous Phoenix assassins. The most powerful grimoire was The Grimoire, which was possessed by whoever the current ruler of the Underworld was at the time.
  • When Maggie and Josefina were searching the Book of Elders for the Walls of Steel spell, most of the book's pages have been tabbed with post-it notes and colored tape. In season 5 of the original series, in the episode "Nymphs Just Wanna Have Fun", Paige had tabbed the Book of Shadows with different colored pieces of tape to help try and navigate through its pages easier, much to Piper's horror.

Quotes[]

Abigael: I'd be delighted to help with your ancient demon translation, dear Harold. But first a drink. You must try this whiskey. Very rare. Picked it up at a charity auction.
Harry: "Dear Harold," "delighted to help," "charity auction"? Who are you? And what have you done with Abigael the Abominable?
Abigael: She's turning over a new leaf.

Macy: Water off a duck's back? Don't you ever get angry?
Jordan: Only when people sucker punch me in the nose when I'm giving them boxing lessons.

Maggie (to Josefina): Other people don't tell us who we are, Josefina, unless we let them.

Harry (to Abigael): If you do the work, there may be a way to free yourself... But there are no shortcuts to redemption.
