The Provenance Spell is a spell that is used to reveal the most significant moment in the history of an object. The entry on this spell is located within the Book of Elders.
History[]
In "Past is Present", after Harry Greenwood cloned Jordan Chase's family ring and stole the original, Macy Vaughn performed the spell to reveal the most significant moment of the ring's history. It revealed that Lawrence Mortimer Chase, also known as the Witchfinder General and an ancestor of Jordan's, was cursed by the witch Florence after sentencing her to death. The ring was taken by Lawrence and kept within the family for generations, while the curse seemingly caused all the males in Chase's family line to pass away before their 26th birthday.
In "Sudden Death", Mel Vera used this spell to find out what happened in the operating room of a warehouse facility. The spell revealed that a monster was created by a group of scientists using a resurrected corpse by stealing the lives and magic from various creatures.
In "Unveiled", the spell was in action by Kaela Danso, to see her biological parents and draw their license plate, only to be revealed that this was the thirty-seventh time she had cast it.
