Sam Arnold is a mortal who participated on AptitudeMatch, with prompting from Maggie Vera, and became a target for a colony of Cicada Demons. He was saved with a few others by the Vera-Vaughn Charmed Ones when they vanquished the queen of the colony.
History[]
In "Bug a Boo", Sam went on a date with a man he met on AptitudeMatch. After the date, Sam entered his car and was immediately kidnapped and incubated at the Cicada Demons' lair, where he was kept sedated. Maggie Vera recognized him from the missing profile and matched it with the profile on Aptitude.
The Vera-Vaughn Charmed Ones were able to vanquish the demons and save him and the other innocents before the insect eggs had a chance to hatch. Harry Greenwood then wiped their memories so that they would have no recollection of the traumatic events.

- In the reboot, Sam Arnold is the first gay male. In the original series, the first gay male was a film critic named Phil.
- In the original series, Sam was the first name of Patty Halliwell's Whitelighter, Sam Wilder, and also the father of Paige Matthews.
