Season 3 will be the third season of Charmed. The show was renewed for a third season on January 7, 2020 by The CW. There are expected to be 25 episodes with the unproduced episodes of the second season airing as part of the third season. The season is set to premiere sometime in January 2021.
Production
On January 7, 2020, The CW renewed Charmed along with 12 other shows due to a possible strike in the spring.[1]
Plot
At the end of season two, the Charmed Ones and the magical world find themselves in certain peril as Julian affirmed to Aunt Vivienne that “whatever it takes,” he would bring her Macy (Madeleine Mantock). Meanwhile, Harry (Rupert Evans) and Macy’s newly cemented romance hangs in the balance after Harry asked Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) to use her new power to change his feelings for her sister. With Mel’s (Melonie Diaz) relationship with Ruby at an impasse, will Mel ever find true love? And is the destruction of the sisterhood inevitable, or will the Charmed Ones conquer the Conqueror? The answers to these questions will unfold in season three and chart a whole new journey for the Charmed Ones as Maggie pursues her career ambitions, Macy returns to her science roots, and Mel's activism is reignited.[2]

Production Notes
- Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the remaining episodes of the previous season have been scheduled to air as part of Season 3.[3]
- The show will air on Sundays like the first season and unlike the previous season which aired on Fridays. The timeslot has also been moved back up to 9 pm instead of 8 pm.
- On June 1, 2020, the writers began working on this season.[4]
- This season is rumored to begin production on August 10, 2020, provided that there are no further delays due to COVID-19.[5]
