Smoking is an elemental variation of the power of teleportation, allowing users to teleport through a puff of smoke.
Overview[]
The demon Alastor's children have had this form of teleportation. Hunter Caine seemed to teleport using the same essence of his smoke form. Parker Caine's teleportation has been shown in a variety of effects. In "Jingle Hell", "Red Rain" and "Past is Present", his teleporting seems to radiate the essence of his shadow form, leaving a grayed black puff of smoke as he disappeared and reappeared. However, in "The Source Awakens" and "The Rules of Engagement", Parker's teleportation seems to be synonymous with Hunter's smoke form, as he broke up into a steady stream of smoke and either sifted through or disappeared into the air. Abigael Jameson-Caine's teleportation appeared in this type of manner as well.
In "Someone's Going to Die", Vivienne Laurent demonstrated this ability similarly to the Caine siblings' through the use of the Prism, a human-made power acquisition device. Also, in "Yew Do You", the ancient being Omon was revealed to teleport in a similar fashion.
The demon Viralis's teleportation was smoke-like in appearance, his body disappearing and reappearing in blue smoke with his glowing blue irises appearing usually before the rest of his body.
The Blue Camellia, a club exclusively for magical beings utilizes special matches that, when lit, teleport patrons to the bar in grey smoke laced with sparks of yellow energy. The club also has corresponding candles, which light up whenever a patron smokes in, and have to be blown out in order for the patron to leave via Smoking.

Trivia[]
- In the original series, Smoking differed visually from user to user. This appears to be the case in the reboot as well. Also, it is one of the most inconsistently portrayed powers in the reboot.
- Smoking is occasionally portrayed as being synonymous with the ability to take the form of smoke and the ability to phase through matter.
- In Season 4, when accessed through the Blue Camellia matches, the effect of Smoking was mixed with fiery sparks, which in some ways resembles the effect of "Smoke-Flaming." This could presumably be due to the ignition of the match to activate the teleportation. In the original, there was also mixed form of teleportation when Smoking was crossed with Fading. And even the effect of Flaming of the Source and several other evil beings had unique features with Fading.
- In "The Rules of Engagement", Abigael used Zagan's Dagger to fake Parker's murder. It is unknown whether this is a property of the dagger itself or another magic trick, and it is also unclear how the dagger could influence Parker, who at that time had the immunity granted by the Sacred Grove apples, and force him to smoke to Abigael's prison.
