Technopathy is the power to exert control over technological constructs, such as computers, hardware, and other devices that can be termed as technology.
Overview[]
This power allows the user to influence with modern-days technology, such as security systems, projecting one's voice through loud speakers and activating lasers. Some users are also able to manipulate hardware and machinery.
History[]
When the Vera-Vaughn Charmed Ones accidentally set off the alarm in the Command Center, Ishta activated security measures, putting everyone inside on lock-down and disabled all usage of magical powers, and communicated with them through the loudspeakers. When they exceeded the range of questions that they were allowed to ask, the Guardian trapped them within lines of deadly laser beams, prompting them to reveal their deepest secrets before everything returned to normal.[1]
In another instance, the Guardian greeted Celeste as she returned to the Command Center for the first time since her retirement.[2]
Gremlins also have this ability and can use it to manipulate machinery, such as a woodchipper.[3] Nolan Moore was able to stick his arm in one of these and prevent the machine from tearing it to shreds. Nolan's younger brother, Quentin Moore, was unable to achieve this, and Nolan watched as his brother's arm was shredded. Quentin later developed various gadgets, such as his surveillance spiders, to aid him during his time as the Tallyman.
Ishani also used this in "Divine Secrets of the O.G. Sisterhood", to break down Kaela Danso's bus and interfere with her phone.
