Temporal Displacement[1] is the power to send or bring objects and people to different times and places, such as the past, present, or future. It is a branch of Temporal Manipulation and could also be considered a lesser variation of Time Traveling.
Overview[]
This power allows the user to send things, objects or beings, into another time and even place. The user can also send their own consciousness into another time, either through the eyes of their past self and re-experience a moment, or as a spectator which will go unnoticed, but can still touch something or someone in order to bring them into the present.
In order to make something travel through time, the user needs to have a close physical proximity. They can send something through time and space by touching it or by having their hands hovering above the object. As they send their consciousness to another time, they can only touch something or someone in order to bring them to their time.
The user of this power must have awareness of the time and place they want to send something to or they want to mentally visit. It can be a specific time or date or simply an event they have in mind. If they don't have a specific temporal and physical location set in mind, the things they're trying to send through time might end up in a random place or time.
While the user can send objects into the future, it is unknown if they can also send their consciousness to the future or pull objects from it.
It appears that the user of this power cannot affect their physical body with it, as it will remain in the present in the same location, presumably acting as an anchor to things they have sent or trying to pull from other times. They might be capable of sending themselves through time through additional means, such as with the use of a spell or an object which can manipulate time, such as Time Bracelets. However, unlike with regular time traveling, they are seemingly unable to travel through time themselves with the use of this power alone.
History[]
In "Unlucky Charmed", Mel Vera decided that she needed to restore her time powers, in order to better battle the Tallyman. Although unsuccessful in restoring her power to freeze, Mel did manage to unintentionally and unknowingly send her consciousness back in time to when she and her ex-girlfriend, Ruby, broke up.
While further attempting to regain her time power in "Ripples", Mel tried to freeze time around Maggie Vera's clock, but when it vanished instead, she believed she had incinerated it. However, several hours later, the clock returned, in the same place and displaying the same time, leading Mel to realize that she had actually sent it into the future.
Believing she had a better grasp on her new time traveling power, having practiced sending a sandwich back in time before pulling it into the present in "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Sandwich", Mel planned to send Maggie and Kaela Danso back in time ten minutes to stop a hobgoblin from activating a set of Annihilation Quartz in the Blue Camellia. However, distracted by the date on a painting hanging on the wall of Roxie's office, Mel accidentally sent them back to 1926 instead. Maggie and Kaela were eventually able to alert her of the time they're in by setting an alarm on a similar painting near the bar, allowing her to reach back in time and pull them back to the present.
In "Unveiled", during a situation dealing with the Unseen that threatened the lives of the Vera-Danso Charmed Ones' friends and family, Mel used her new power to bring the original Book of Shadows forward in time from a point in the past before its destruction in order to use it to create Blindaje Dolls to protect her and her sisters' loved ones.
In "Be Kind. Rewind.", Maggie mimicked this power from a fatally wounded Mel in the Command Center with the hopes of using it to travel back in time and warn their past selves of Inara's plan and its tragic outcome. After escaping to Vera Manor, Maggie managed with great effort to send a videotape manifested by Kaela back in time to warn their past selves. The videotape arrived in the kitchen of the manor while Joséfina Reyes was busy trying to get ready to go to Dev Banerjee's memorial service at the Blue Camellia.

Trivia[]
- Mel's ability to send her consciousness back in time to witness a past event is similar to when, in the original series, Phoebe Halliwell's power of Premonition advanced to Astral Premonition, which allowed her to send her astral form back or forward in time to experience events.
- In "Triage", it is revealed that, while she still had access to her time powers before her aura was stripped, Mel had hidden a piece of the pendant containing the Source in the distant future. It's most likely that she achieved this through the use of a spell, as she had never displayed any sort of time travel ability until "Unlucky Charmed".
- It's currently unknown if the users of this power may develop the ability to send themselves physically through time. In "Perfecti Is the Enemy of Good" and "I Dreamed a Dream…", a future version of Mel was shown wearing some sort of bracelets, presumably a type of time bracelets, while visiting the past, but it's unclear if she time traveled through her power or a spell. However, while leaving present Mel and Maggie in "I Dreamed a Dream…", future Mel was not shown reciting a return spell.
- While users of this ability are shown to be able to transport objects into the future, it is unclear if the users are able to gaze into and pull things from the future. After developing the power, Mel was only ever shown gazing into the past and pulling objects from there.
