— Mel introducing Maggie and Kaela to the Blue Camellia[src]
|
The Blue Camellia is an exclusive magical club that only allows magical patrons. It is owned by the circadian, Roxie, who named the club after her now estranged wife, Camellia. Duncan works at the club as a bouncer.
In late 2021, Mel Vera began frequenting the club for one-night stands after the death of her sister, Macy Vaughn, and breakup with her ex-girlfriend, Ruby Malone. Her exploits got to such a point that other the patrons were recommended to watch over their girlfriends whenever Mel was present. Eventually, Mel befriended Roxie and the two began a sexual relationship. Roxie left the club under Mel's care before going into her seven year slumber.
Overview[]
To enter, one must light a match from the Camellia, which would then transport the person and whoever they are holding to the bar. To leave the place, one simply needs to blow out their candle. There is an emergency button under the bar desk to expel all the patrons should the need arise.
History[]
In "Not That Girl", Mel Vera hooked up with one of the patrons at the club, before leaving in a rushed manner to avoid her 'date' getting serious. Owing to her rushed leaving, Mel had to return to the club to get her jacket, but after leaving, found she was transported to Philadelphia instead of Seattle in order to find Kaela Danso.
After Mel and Maggie Vera's cousin, Joséfina Reyes, took a bite of an apple that Kaela accidentally manifested, thus transforming her into a paper doll version of herself and creating a negative space being, Mel used one of her matches from the Camellia to transport her, Maggie, and Kaela out of the Command Center and to the club, inadvertently ripping off Joséfina's arm in the process. Once there, Mel sought out Roxie, the club's owner, for help. Roxie explained that Kaela's power of manifestation had created a negative space being, and they needed to find a way to both fill it in and restore Joséfina before she bled out due to her arm being ripped off. Although Mel wanted to stay to think out a plan, Kaela blew out the candle that represented her and the others, transporting them back to the Center.
In "You Can't Go Home Again", Harry Greenwood and Jordan Chase visited the bar to find intel on the Tallyman. They talked with the leprechaun, Frank. When he refused to talk, Harry lied about having poisoned the bottle of wine he just drank and scared him into giving them the address to the pickup spot.
In "Unlucky Charmed", Dev performed on stage and enchants many female patrons while Harry was watching. He had a meeting with Roxie, who offered him a Malleable Maven and a mushroom from the Forbidden Gnome Forest. The potion would help him make Kaela easier to work with, while the mushroom would help him realize his own potential. Harry chose the potion. At the end of the episode, Harry and Kaela came to the bar, where they both reached their own realizations. Harry decided to trade the potion for the mushroom, which once consumed, transported him elsewhere. In the meantime, Kaela was waiting in line for the restroom when Dev exited with two female patrons, barely zipping up his pants. This annoyed Kaela.
In "Ripples", Kaela transported to the bar to look for Roxie, but Sunny rudely said she wasn't in. Dev tried to offer Kaela his help, but she turned him down outright until he showed her his unique affinity for music in magic. He was also able to help her learn how to multiply objects through her manifesting power, effectively duplicating a glass of martini before multitudes of martinis began to appear. Duncan found Kaela's drawing of the martini and ripped it, putting an end to the magical multiplication. He then automatically blew out Kaela's candle, sending her back to the Command Center, along with Dev who was holding her hand. Later, Dev was sent back to the club via one of the matches.
