The Perfecti is the self-appointed title given to the two, ancient magical beings individually named Mo and Aladria. It is their duty to imprison any creatures or beings that they have deemed chaotic into the Tomb of Chaos. However, it has been shown that they in fact lack human emotions, which makes them overconfident and blind to context. They have currently been re-imprisoned within the tomb by the Vera-Vaughn Charmed Ones using a golem.
History[]
Early History[]
Over twenty thousand years ago, when chaos rampaged across the Earth, many magical tribes agreed to place a piece of their power inside two, self-described, "perfect beings." Following their creation, Mo and Aladria rounded up and contained every creature or being that they deemed too chaotic within the Benevolent Classification and Containment System for Rampageous Beings and Unpredictable Objects in Fifth-Dimensional Space-Time.[1]
However, an encounter with an early incarnation of the Charmed Ones led to the Perfecti using a golem to destroy them, but not before the sisterhood of witches placed the duo within their own prison, where they slept for millennia.[2]
Throughout the Series[]
In "Bruja-Ha", after vanquishing an ancient faceless monster, the Perfecti appeared before Mel Vera out of swirls of blue and white energy. Unable to communicate with words, they belted a deafening sound in unison that sent Mel into attack mode, but strangely her molecular powers didn't render any effect on the pair. Thinking quickly, she tossed the marble and instantaneously appeared before Harry Greenwood, who noticed that the portal didn't close like normal and in walk... the Perfecti. Shocked, scared, and confused, Harry tossed Mel the containment spell potion, and they managed to stop the duo until Harry approached the spell out of curiosity, which led to Mo extending his hand out through the containment field and placing it on Harry's head, siphoning his powers in the process. Mel reacted by binding them with the Bruja's Ladder, a binding spell made of Elder magic and Brujeria, where they remained until the spell's creator, Joséfina Reyes, released them, hoping they'd unlock her power so she could join the fight and help her primas' attempt to contain the chaos. Somehow, they got into Josefina's mind and let her know they didn't mean any harm and that they were there to help, which became apparent when they suddenly opened a portal to the Tomb of Chaos to trap a monster. While having their first meal in 21,342 years, they formally introduced themselves and told the sisters that "they'd take it from there" and handle the monster mess, before surprisingly answering a key question about the allergy, telling the trio that although consequential, it was indeed curable.
In "Witchful Thinking", the Vera-Vaughn Charmed Ones followed the Perfecti's instructions to find an Enchanted Egg in a deadly cave. They managed to retrieve the relic and used its magic to cure their allergy. However, it also actualized all of the things that they wanted but at the expense of others. Not wanting more people hurt, the Charmed Ones talked to the Perfecti about the problem. They then instructed the sisters to return the egg where they had found it, and all wishes will immediately reverse themselves. In the meantime, an out of control Abigael Jameson-Caine tried to attack the manor, only to be stopped by the Perfecti. When she later has Jordan Chase help her bind her powers, the Perfecti interrupt the spell and send them both into the Tomb of Chaos, thinking Jordan was an accomplice.
In "Spectral Healing", Mo provided Harry with soul softeners and instructed him to get a soul sample from a direct male descendant. Later, Maggie Vera found out that the Perfecti had imprisoned Abigael and Jordan in the Tomb of Chaos.
In "Chaos Theory", after having realized that Jordan and Abigael had been trapped in the tomb, the Charmed Ones talked with the Perfecti about releasing them. They decided to hold a trial for Abigael. Should she go free, so will Jordan. While the Charmed Ones came up with ways to defend Abigael, the Perfecti found proof of her chaotic nature, such as her mother, Francesca Jameson. Eventually, the trial turned to a confrontation when both sides realized one another was more chaotic. The Perfecti tried to entomb Abigael and Jordan again, but the Charmed Ones managed to fend them off. The Perfecti later broke into the Command Center to steal the Stone Tablet.
In "Perfecti Is the Enemy of Good", the Perfecti misled the Charmed Ones into creating a golem to make it destroy them. They also imbued Mel with a sound frequency that would blow up her head overtime to make her their leverage. They then waited until Celeste said the activation spell to awaken the golem, then made the creature go after the witches. When the protection spells lifted, the Perfecti believed they had succeeded in destroying the Charmed Ones, only to be lured into a trap. Macy Vaughn then took over command on the golem by stealing the Perfecti's amulets and made it throw the duo into the Tomb, where they will slumber once again.
In "The Storm Before the Calm", the Charmed Ones found Aladria in the tomb to ask her about the Whispering Evil. She gave three solutions: let the Perfecti out and they will take care of it; kill its host; or separate the monster from the host, which is more difficult. When the Charmed Ones chose the third option, she told them the complications with the Whispering Evil and what they need to do to make the monster dispossess Jordan.
In "I Dreamed a Dream…", Macy mentioned Aladria in a conversation with Harry. She told Macy where to find the highly toxic substance, Bioluminescent Lichen—the only toxin that can vanquish the Whispering Evil for good.
Trivia[]
- According to Mo, the name "Perfecti" was his idea.[1]
- The Perfecti are similar in principle to two groups from the original series: the Cleaners, two magical beings who were elected by both good and evil and given extreme power to keep the supernatural hidden at any cost, and the Avatars, a group of neutral beings who wished to turn the world into a Utopia, and once they did, erased anyone and anything they deemed too chaotic and corrupt, including innocent people, from existence.
