The Tallyman's Explosive Elixir is a potion that causes any being who drinks it to explode.
Overview[]
The onset of the effect varies. The leprechaun Frank lived a couple of minutes after consuming the potion, the lamia - a few hours, while the Tallyman and the Unseen troll exploded only a few seconds after drinking it. When the explosion is about to happen, the body releases a ticking sound that slowly accelerates. Once time is up, the ticking will be fast and loud before finally the being explodes. The color of the explosion is also different for different creatures.
History[]
In "Unlucky Charmed", Frank and the lamia both died from the elixir. The Tallyman recorded their deaths, and later broadcasted them via GemCasts to discredit the Vera-Danso Charmed Ones and turn the magical community against them.
In "The Tallyman Cometh", after failing to detonate his spiders in the hotel, the Tallyman killed himself with his elixir.
In "The End Is Never The End", sensing the change of events, Inara orders the troll to bury the Book of Shadows and the new Unity Bowl. The Charmed Ones were able to fool him by posing as Unseen members and take back the items. The troll then drinks the Tallyman's elixir to commit suicide while telling them that it is their last day on Earth.
Trivia[]
- It is still unknown why the potion's trigger time varied for different creatures who drank it.
- It may possibly be that consuming the elixir directly results in a near-immediate effect while mixing it in other drinks has a somewhat latent effect.
- In the original, Piper invented a potion with the same effect, but it didn't need to be drank and could simply be thrown at the intended target.
