  • For Alastor's page, could there be tab in the infobox to include both the human form image and the true/demonic form image?

I know I brought this up before and no one else seems to have a problem with it, but is it absolutely necessary to have both the article and the category page for the same thing in the same category page? It seems too excessive and repetitive.

    • Yes, if a character has two different forms, we should use tabs to show both forms. I've updated for Alastair.

For the categories, I'm not sure I fully understand what you're asking but let me know if this answers your question. If not, give me an example of the pages/categories in question so I can take a look.

      Here's how I see it:

      • You can have a page called Telekinesis under the "Powers" category.
      • You can have a page called "Powers" which is also under the "Powers" category.
      • The "Powers" category page should not be put under the "Powers" category. That's redundant.

    • Question, how do we do the tabs to show a character's human and demonic form? A lot of these demon pages need to be updated.

    • Yes, I'm planning on updating the others as well.

To add the tabbed images, I usually edit using the source code. (you can edit the source code if you click on the arrow down next to the Edit button)

In the infobox, I use the "tabber" tag in the "image" parameter. Like here's how the code looks on Alastair's page:

      ...
      |name = Alastor
      |image = <tabber>
      |-|Human Form = [[File:Alastair.jpg|thumb]]
      |-|Demonic Form = [[File:Demon_Alastor.jpg|thumb]]
      </tabber>
      |gender = Male
      ...

Take the Species category for instance; you have a page for Witches and the Witches category on the same category page and etc. Both are about Witches, Demons or whatever Species you can think of (within the series) and seems repetitive. Surely there doesn't need to be two of the same species on the same category page. Does that make sense?

    • That's necessary for people who want to see the individual members of that species. Someone might want to see all of the species within the show, then find a species they want to learn about and click on that category to see the individual members.

I think you'll better understand if you tried to think of it from the point of view who isn't familiar with wikia and doesn't know much about Charmed in the first place.

    • Yes, Badwitch put it correctly. If you're not familiar with the show and you're looking at the "Witches" page, you might want to¬†:

      • See the individual witches which is why it belongs to "Witches" category OR
      • See other species, which is why it belongs to the "Species" category.

Not placing "Witches" page under "Witches" category would add unnecessary navigation steps for someone exploring the show to go to individual witches from the witches page. It's not repetitive. It helps with organization. I know personally if I'm reading about witches, I'm more likely to take a look at individual witches than read about ghosts. Better organization on the internet content involves keeping related things together.
