References to the Original Charmed[]
- The title may be a reference to the season five episode, "Lucky Charmed".
- Harry's training of Kaela initially consisted of him teaching her about the history of magic, which Kaela finds dull and boring, instead preferring a hands-on approach. In the original series, Leo tried to teach Billie about magic history, but she preferred learning actual combative magic.
- One of Kaela's training activities was swordfighting with Harry, similarly to Phoebe and Cole when they were preparing to battle the Source.
- Harry's counterpart Leo, was also versed in swordfighting.
- While singing onstage, Dev had tiny beings called "Beebops" as his backup band. This is similar to fairies who were a frequent presence in the later half of the original series, while musical fairies were human-sized and known as Encantadas.
- Kaela was encased in a cocoon, similar to how Piper was spun inside one when she was targeted by a Spider Demon.
- Mel's vision of the past may be a reference to Phoebe's Astral Premonition.
- Mel proposing to Ruby and getting turned down is similar to when Cole proposed to Phoebe too soon after Prue died and she turned him down.
- Maggie falsely believed the Lamia to be an enemy, when in fact, she just wanted to protect her child. This is similar to the beast the sisters perceived to be a threat, only to discover he was the father of a baby they came across.
- Harry mentioned buying a cornflower blue bowl with Macy at a flea market outside of San Francisco. San Francisco was the Charmed Ones' hometown in the original show.
- There was a rainbow over the block where Frank lived. Leprechauns traveled to other places by riding on rainbows.
