This Abiku Demon was a demon that possessed Galvin Burdette in order to try to get to Macy Vaughn.
History[]
In "The Replacement", Galvin Burdette was possessed by the Abiku, while he sought a cure for Macy's demonic side, intending to use as a front to get close to Macy Vaughn. Abiku are known to prey on the souls of dead children and, being stillborn, Macy was an attractive prey for the demon.
Upon returning from Haiti, the Abiku killed a customs agent, leading the Vera-Vaughn Charmed Ones and Tessa Flores-Cohen to believe that the culprit was a vampire. However, when the Abiku killed Mama Roz, a psychic who studied the numerous artifacts Galvin had brought with him, the sisters learned that Galvin was possessed and that the Abiku was using him to get to Macy.
After revealing himself to Macy, the Abiku chased her into the woods, where Macy hid inside an abandoned car. The Abiku smashed through the door and was almost at Macy before her sisters and Tessa intervened.
Macy managed to get the Abiku out of Galvin by stopping the latter's heart, but once it returned to its primordial form, the Abiku managed to escape with Macy into the attic of Vera Manor.
Finding themselves blocked from entering the manor by a Yoruba barrier, Mel, Maggie Vera, Tessa, and Galvin managed to break in with a dagger from Mama Roz. Tessa intervened as the Abiku had Macy ones to the wall, stabbing the demon in the back with the dagger. However, this had no lasting effect, and the Abiku quickly responded by tossing her across the room into a table. Unable to see the demon in its primordial form, Maggie had Macy telekinetically draw the fire extinguisher to her. Maggie used the fire extinguisher to reveal the Abiku, and then Mel hurriedly used the dagger to vanquish the demon.
In "Past is Present", after Macy does some training with Jordan Chase, he asked her if she had ever fought before, and Macy remembers back to some of her previous battles since having become a witch, including fighting against the Abiku in the attic.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Active Powers
- Possession: The ability to inhabit a person or being's body.
- Claw Extension: The ability to make sharp claws come from one's hands and/or fingers at will. This seems to be main method of killing for Abiku Demons.
- Fading: The ability to teleport through a fading energy.
- Supernatural Strength: The ability to be stronger than what is naturally possible. This Abiku Demon was capable of piercing a car door with his claws and yanking it off.
- Force Field Generation: The ability to create a force field capable of keeping something from coming into contact with a certain thing. This Abiku Demon was capable of creating a force field around the Vera Manor to keep out Tessa, Mel, Maggie, and Galvin.
- Inactive Powers
- Invisibility: The ability to render oneself unseen to the naked eye. The primordial form of Abiku Demons are naturally invisible, sometimes only being seen through shadow.
