Trivia[]

  • With 44 letters in the title, this is the longest episode title of the series overall.
  • Jordan Chase returns in this episode. He was last seen in Chaos Theory.
  • Antonio Garcia and Swan return in this episode. They were last seen in Spectral Healing.
  • Mo and Aladria were mentioned. They were last seen in Perfecti Is the Enemy of Good.
  • Francesca Jameson is mentioned. She was last seen in Chaos Theory.
    • The nickname "Mummy Dearest" that Abigael called Francesca is most likely a reference to "Mommie Dearest", a tell-all autobiography and later film by Christina Crawford, who details an abusive childhood at the hands of her mother, actress Joan Crawford. However, this could have also been simply a sly comment by Abigael, as the term "Mommy Dearest" is commonly employed in a sarcastic or mocking manner to describe a mother perceived as controlling or overbearing.
  • Dr. Lawrence is mentioned. He was last seen in Witchful Thinking.
  • This episode marks Waverly Jameson's first appearance in the series. She was first mentioned in Triage.
  • It is also revealed that Waverly has a daughter, whose power Francesca wants.
  • Jordana Zinger previously played Abigarry's Daughter #2 in Third Time's the Charm.

Continuity Error[]

  • The Whispering Evil was able to escape by possessing Jordan, because he was the first human that had ever been imprisoned within the Tomb of Chaos. However, the Vera-Vaughn Charmed Ones had been trapped inside the Tomb in Witch Way Out without being overtaken by the ancient monster, despite all three of them being humans.

  • How will Mel get her time powers back?
    • These powers have returned in this episode, but no one knows yet whether they belong to Mel's unborn child or are Mel's own powers that have returned due to her pregnancy.

    • As of the moment, Abigael is hoping to return Macy's powers through the Blade of Clarity.

References to the Original Charmed[]

  • Waverly tells Mel that most pregnant witches experience new powers and magical mishaps. In the original, Patty, Piper, and Phoebe have experienced such incidents due to carrying immensely powerful magical infants.
  • When the bounty hunter threw a knife at Mel's belly, her temporal powers protected it. This references to the time when a powerful Darklighter tried to shoot Piper's unborn baby with a poisoned arrow and it protected itself by producing a force field.
  • A demonic bounty hunter appears in this episode. Bounty hunters were common in the original.
  • Mel freezing the fly references to "The Wedding from Hell" when Piper tried to freeze two demons but instead froze a fly near her.
  • Maggie is with her respective love interest, when she receives a vision, and learns he has turned evil. The same thing happened to Phoebe, when she recieved a premonition from Cole, and learnt he was the Source.
    • Jordan's possession by the Whispering Evil, could be comparable to Cole's possession by the Source.
  • Macy and Jordan fought a clown. In the original, the Charmed Ones dealt with a clown that manifested from Paige's dream.

Production Notes[]

  • The episode was watched by 0.36 million U.S. viewers.
  • On one of the promo photos, the knife was not finished, which flew into Mel and showed her awakened temporal stasis.

Quotes[]

Mel (in frustration): Use Allen wrench A to tighten ten-inch bolts B, C, and F. Who's Allen and why does he have a wrench named after him?

Maggie: Are you the Whispering Evil?
Antonio: My ex seems to think so.

Waverly (to Mel): She's not my sister. She's an unhinged demon.
